Wednesday, Sept. 30 – Whitehouse Hosts Open House – The Whitehouse Fire Department is hosting an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Families are welcome to check out the fire trucks, ambulances and firefighting and EMs equipment, tour the station, see demonstrations on fire safety and ask firefighters questions. The event is FREE.
Haunted Waterville Tours – Visitors will meet a ghost hunter or medium in Robbins House Museum for the first half of the program and will then board a horse-drawn trolley to travel through old Waterville hearing tales of hauntings both old and new. Tours last for an hour and a half. Tours begin at 5:15, 6, 6:45, 7:30 and 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $30; kids receive a free t-shirt.

Thursday, Oct. 1 – Monclova Community Center Hosts Trunk or Treat – The Monclova Community Center is hosting a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7 p.m. at 8115 Monclova Rd. Children are invited to put on their Halloween costumes and stop by decorated vehicles staffed by local businesses and community organizations to pick up some candy.
Saturday, Oct. 3 – Monclova Township hosts Open House – Monclova Township is hosting its Public Service Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4335 Albon Rd. Residents are invited to check out the fire trucks, farm animals and more than a dozen tables hosted by community organizations. Children are invited to write a note or color a picture to send in a care package from the Anthony Wayne Purple Star group to deployed military personnel. Saturday, Oct. 10 – First responders honored in Community Fall Festival – Waterville United Methodist Church is hosting a FREE Community Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. at 7115 Waterville Monclova Road. The focus is on honoring first responders from Waterville and Waterville Township, and will include an opportunity to check out fire trucks and police cruisers. Food trucks, games, crafts, music and a trunk or treat are on the lineup.
Sunday, Nov. 8 – Benefit for Sean Griewahn – From 3-7 p.m., the Swanton American Legion Hall will host a benefit for Sean. November is Pancreatic Awareness Month, and this event is to support Sean during his battle with cancer. The event includes food and drinks, raffle baskets, and a silent auction.
