WHITEHOUSE – As the Toledo Lucas County Public Library seeks public input on planning a Whitehouse Branch Library, several community pop ups are planned, beginning this weekend.
“The Toledo Library wants Whitehouse residents to have a voice in shaping their new library,” said Stephanie Elton, public information officer for the Library. “These community engagement opportunities will give them a chance to share ideas, respond to prompts and tell us what they would like their new branch to offer and feel like.”
Staff from the Library or The Collaborative will be on hand during these sessions:
•Sunday, Oct. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Waterville Kroger, 8730 Waterville Swanton Rd.
•Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Waterville Kroger, 8730 Waterville Swanton Rd.
•Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. during the Whitehouse Halloween event at Whitehouse Park, 6751 Providence St.
In addition, feedback display boards will be available for viewing and feedback:
•Tuesday, Oct. 20 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Whitehouse Library, 10651 Waterville St.
•Monday, Nov. 2 through Monday, Nov. 9 at the Waterville Branch Library, 800 Michigan Ave., during regular hours: Monday and Tuesday noon to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Additional community engagement opportunities will be posted in the coming weeks toledolibrary.org.
“Residents will also find a link to a survey where they can also provide preliminary feedback in the ‘Share Your Thoughts’ section,” Elton said.
