SYLVANIA – The Greater Toledo Classic Hosted by Stacy Lewis announced the commitment of two of the most celebrated names in women’s golf – Julie Inkster and Karrie Webb.
These World Golf Hall of Fame members will compete in the reformatted event, set to take place July 21–27 at the Highland Meadows Golf Club.
The Greater Toledo Classic, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024, enters a new era this year by combining the Legends of the LPGA and the Epson Tour in a one-of-a-kind dual-tournament format, featuring 42 LPGA Legends and 102 Epson Tour players.
“Having Julie and Karrie in the lineup is a tremendous honor and a true celebration of the legacy of women’s golf,” said Judd Silverman, tournament director of the Greater Toledo Classic.
“They started their careers playing in Toledo, and now they’ll do it again alongside the next generation.”
Inkster, a seven-time major champion, is a beloved ambassador for women’s golf. Webb captured eight major titles during her Hall of Fame career. She is one of Australia’s greatest athletes with over 130 professional wins worldwide.
Their commitment reinforces Toledo’s place as a beloved stop for legends of the game.
Building on a proud legacy of giving back, this year’s tournament continues its deep commitment to the community, having already raised over $14.3 million to support more than 200 local children’s charities.
