Tressa Nearhood Obituary

Tressa Nearhood, 78, passed away on July 21, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to Forrest Horace and Tressa Iola (Griggs) Nearhood and remained a lifelong resident of the area.

Tressa spent her career working as a sterilization technician for surgical equipment, a role through which she served countless patients behind the scenes with diligence and care. In retirement, she poured her energy into caring for others, especially her neighbors in her retirement community, where her kindness and helpfulness became well known.

She found great joy in shopping at Costco and browsing QVC. Tressa treasured time with her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly; they were her greatest pride and joy.

Tressa is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ray Nearhood, and Sandy Guerrero; and son, Thomas Eversman. She is survived by her sons, Clifford (Heidi), William, Forrest (Sandy), and Harry Eversman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Waterville Recreation Center, 808 Michigan Ave, Waterville, Ohio, on Friday, August 1st, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
