Obituary For Paul Howard Wray

Paul Howard Wray, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio, Paul was born in Sandusky, Ohio, March 30, 1942 to Howard Mann and Harriett Wray. Paul served in the United States Army from 1959 until honorable discharge in 1962. He married the love of his life, Carol Edwards, August 27, 1966. Paul worked as a tool and die maker for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio for over 40 years, retiring in 2004. While working at Ford he served on the emergency services teams and was a former EMT and fireman for the city of Port Clinton. Paul loved being outdoors- canoeing hiking, and enjoying nature at East Harbor State Park where he and Carol often went in the evenings to watch deer. He was an avid runner, participating in numerous 5k's and a marathon. Paul was an active member of the UAW, HAM Radio Operator (AA8F), Port Clinton Masonic Lodge, and treasured the many friendships he made at the Port Clinton Senior Center.

Paul is survived by his children, Andrea Wray (Jamie Weldon) and Kurt (Amy) Wray; grandchildren, Val (Wedmara) DaSilva-Popke and Kristen (Jason) Jones; her great-grandchildren, Miles Popke, Kali Popke-Price, and Liam Popke; siblings, Ross Mann and Evelyn Strube; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; and siblings, Howard Mann and Rachel Giesey.

The family will receive friends at Gerner Wolf Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 9:00 am until funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Castalia Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
