Obituary For Mary Beth Lawrence

Mary Beth Lawrence of Perrysburg passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on October 10, 1958, she was a 1976 graduate of Lake High School. Mary Beth was a loving wife to Glenn Lawrence for 38 beautiful years, with whom she shared a passion for decorating and restoring homes. As a devoted mother to her children, Michael and Alexa, she never missed a hockey game or cheer competition, and she owned and coached a competitive cheer gym, taking great pride in her children's accomplishments.

A nurturing soul, Mary Beth was an advocate for those in need, offering support during difficult times and rescuing countless animals. She had a special love for the holidays, particularly Christmas, enjoying cooking, playing games, and sharing laughter. Her enjoyment extended to traveling and experiencing new adventures with her family, especially weekend getaways. More recently, she embraced the joy of becoming a grandmother to Marco, cherishing every snuggle, picture, video, and FaceTime call.

Mary Beth's kindness, compassion, and sense of humor touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Preceding in death are her parents, Raymond and Rose Mary Sweeney and her father-in-law, Melvin Lawrence.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband, Glenn Lawrence; son, Michael (Corinna) Lawrence; daughter, Alexa Lawrence; grandson, Marco Lawrence; siblings, Jim Sweeney, Jeanne (Norm) Smith, Keith (Krista) Sweeney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of the celebration of Mary Beth’s life at 12:00 pm in Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879). Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nature’s Nursery (natures-nursery.org), a cause close to Mary Beth’s heart. Condolences may be made to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
