Margaret M. Stoner, 83, of Genoa, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. She was born on May 4, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Leo and Pearl (Mominee) Heintschel.

Margaret married William H. Stoner in Toledo on August 10, 1963. Together, they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

Margaret attended Holy Rosary School for grade school and graduated from Clay High School in 1961. Following high school, she earned an associate degree from Stautzenberger College. After college, she worked as an administrative assistant at Toledo Trust in downtown Toledo, Ohio. She later worked at the BP Refinery in Oregon, Ohio, now known as the Cenovus Toledo Refinery.

Margaret was a woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She cherished spending time with and caring for her grandchildren and going to all their sporting events. She especially enjoyed watching sports, including NASCAR, NHRA racing, football, and many others. In their younger years, Margaret and William enjoyed playing cards, particularly euchre, as well as square dancing and bowling.

Above all, she treasured her family and the time they shared together. She had a heart of gold and a kindness that knew no bounds, caring deeply for family, friends, and even those who were not related by blood. Her compassion and love touched countless lives, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Stoner; her grandsons, Tyler Baird, Rylen Stoner, and Reid (Sandy) Stoner; her siblings, Dolores Shumsky, Janet (Jim) Wlodarz, Theresa Ivan, and Jerry (Sandee Everhart) Heintschel; her sister-in-laws, Kathleen Purney and Marilyn Heintschel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Pearl Heintschel; her husband, William H. Stoner; her son, Stephen Stoner; and siblings, William Heintschel, Raymond Heintschel, Carol Heintschel, Jean Rettenberg, Esther Hornstein and Betty Beham.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main St., Genoa, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m.
