Ernest James Hall, age 78 of Maumee, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at his home.

Ernie was born on August 24, 1947 in Toledo, OH to Ernest J. and Norma Jean (Flemming) Hall. He grew up in Sylvania and loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his motorcycle, and traveling. Ernie was a retired member of UBCJA Local #1138 where he was a Superintendant of the Lathrop Company. He was a member of the Independant Riders Association for 36 years since 1990 and the Greater Toledo Sportsman Association since 1968.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary L. Hall, and son, Heath Koepplinger.

He is survived by sister, Ramona (Chris) Koetke, sons; Ernest Hall II, Fred Hall, and Sean (Lillian) Koepplinger, grandchildren; Timmothy James (Ariall) Koepplinger, KayLynne (Cole) Koepplinger, Amanda Bocanegra, Rachel Pelley, Victoria Bocanegra, great grandchildren; Anthony, Easton, and Melody, several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 2-6PM with a short prayer service at 5:30PM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home; 501 Conant Steet, Maumee. There will be a gathering after the service at Independant Riders Association; 9936 Frankfort Dr. Holland, OH 43628.
