On this episode of Behind the Byline, host Jaden Jefferson speaks with Toledoan Doug Hinebaugh, a local photographer who documents events for businesses, organizations and nonprofits for his business, Doughiefresh Photography.
On this show, Hinebaugh, otherwise known as Dougie Fresh, talks about how he thought he was escaping Toledo for greener pastures when he moved away, bouncing around bigger cities for a few years, until he realized it was his drinking, not Toledo, that was the problem. Sober for nine years now, Dougie is now one of Toledo’s biggest cheerleaders.

“You know, I spent 25 years running printing presses and thought that was literally the only thing I was ever going to be good at,” Hinebaugh says in the podcast. “I really believed that, Jaden. I was like, ‘What a boring disappointment of a life I’m going to have here,’ until I flipped the script.”
