Obituary For Winifred Ann Graham Seng
Winifred Ann Graham Seng passed away peacefully on September 7th, 2024. “Ann” as she was commonly known, was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sibling, and joyful grandmother. Ann is survived by her four children: Clare, Robert, Lawrence, Richardson and her granddaughter, Stella.
Previously departed loved ones include Ann’s parents, Winifred Heekin Graham, and Ziba Foote Graham, as well as her late husband, Lawrence Eugene Seng. In addition, Ann will be greatly missed by her four siblings: Ziba Graham (Cathy), Cress Meier (Derek), Emily Schoeny (Jeff), and John Graham (Peggy).
Ann was born in Washington, Indiana, on September 19, 1940. In her youth, she spent time between Washington, Crooked Lake, Michigan, and Bal Harbour, Florida. She attended Marymount College in Arlington, Virginia. Afterward, she studied art education at Saint Benedict College in Ferdinand, Indiana. As an educator in Sarasota, Florida, she was wholly dedicated to elementary education. Her interests included a love and talent for painting wildlife, flowers, and sailboats. She also enjoyed traveling often to the Bahamas as a young woman. As a wonderful homemaker, Ann enjoyed much laughter with her children and caring for her pets.
Ann was a very spiritual individual, and she was devoted to the Catholic Church. A memorial Mass honoring the life and spirit of Ann will be held on Monday September 16th, 2024. Visitation will occur at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church; 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio. A Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church concluded by a small gathering at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall attached to the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is organizing donations in her honor for the Cross in the Woods, Catholic Shrine of Indian River, Michigan. www.wesharegiving.org/App/Form/59547910-58b9-47ce-a96c-37ae303f9cc6. Ann loved to worship in nature and these Northern Michigan grounds brought her true happiness. A family celebration of life for Ann will be held during Mass at the Cross in the Woods in the summer of 2025.
