Obituary For Thomas William Obrock

Thomas William Obrock, 69, passed away unexpectedly after a routine surgery on December 22, 2024, in Clermont, Florida.

Tom was born on December 8, 1955, in Oregon, Ohio, to Luther and Rosella (DeFalco) Obrock. He married Debra Sue Schlea, Walbridge, Ohio, on July 14, 1979. Tom was a graduate of Lake High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo. He earned his MBA from BGSU. Tom was employed by Libbey Owens Ford for 20 years (Toledo; Mason City, Iowa; and Ottawa, IL), Armstrong Flooring in Nashville, TN, until his retirement. Tom enjoyed cooking, gardening, working with his hands, and traveling. He recently obtained his Italian Citizenship. His favorite past-time was visiting with family and Friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Debra, Groveland, FL; son, Dr. Luther Obrock (Luis), Berkeley, CA; Sarah Obrock Mugnaini (Nick), Davenport, FL; and the apple of his eye, grandson, Leonello Thomas Mugnaini.

Other family members include brothers, Michael (Connie), Curtice; John (Debra L.), Bowling Green; David (Brenda), Luckey; and sisters, Linda Bombrys (Tim), Bowling Green, OH; and Alice Courter, Cape Coral, FL. Tom is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Other survivors include father-in-law, James Schlea, Columbus; sister-in-law, Sally Kopco (William), Lexington; brothers-in-law, Mark and Daniel Schlea, Columbus; and niece, Anna Kopco, Brooklyn, NY.

Arrangements are as follows: Visitation on Thursday, February 27, from 2:00-7:00 p.m., at Witzler Shank Funeral Home on Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH. A memorial service will take place on Friday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Johns Lutheran Church, St. Rd. 20, in Perrysburg, OH, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Following the service there will be a meal in the Fellowship Hall. A private internment will take place at Lake Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Habitat for Humanity, The Humane Society, and Planned Parenthood.
