Obituary For Steven W. Putman

Steve Putman loved his family more than anything on earth. It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Steve on November 1, 2024, with his beloved wife Lisa, by his side. He was the most hardworking, compassionate man, who treated people with care. This family will never be the same, but his legacy will live on through his wife, and his three children, Emily, Nickolas and Olivia.

Spending time with his family was Steve’s favorite thing to do. Along with golf, college football (Go Blue!) and being a lifelong fan of the Detroit Lions, he was a social guy that believed in taking time to get to know others. He loved to engage in conversation and look at every aspect of a situation before making a decision.

Patience, brilliance and calculating numbers came easy to Steve. He enjoyed math games and puzzles that stimulated his mind, as well as reading. He adored their family pets!

He and Lisa met 29 years ago while working at The Anderson’s in Maumee and enjoyed 26 years of marriage together. He never wanted to be in the spotlight, he was humble that way.

Left to cherish his life, his wife, Lisa (Braun); children, Emily (Avery) Lewis, Nickolas (Marisa Shively) Putman, Olivia Putman; parents, Rick and Joanne Putman; brothers, Jim Putman and Jeff (Melinda) Putman; mother and father in-law, Robert and Patricia Braun; brother-in-law, Bob (Carrie) Braun; sister-in-law, Becky (Jose) Resendez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all whom he loved greatly.

Steve was preceded by his grandparents on both his mother and father’s side.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) with a funeral service the following day, beginning at 10 a.m.. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the emergency and police departments for all of their efforts with Steve on November 1, 2024. Our appreciation and overwhelming thanks to the staff at Walker Funeral Home on Sylvania Ave. and Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary at arthursacresanimalsanctuary.org or Tunnel to Towers, t2t.org.
