Steven A. Goetz, 68, of Rocky Ridge, OH passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Mercy Hospital of Perrysburg, Perrysburg, OH after an extended illness. He was born on March 29, 1956 in Port Clinton, OH to Norbert and Betty (Brackett) Goetz. Steve graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1974. He worked as a bartender for Blackberry Corner Tavern for 49 years, retiring in 2021. Steve enjoyed working in the yard, creating ceramics and macrame. He also like gambling and traveling, especially to Atlantic City, the Bahamas, and Hawaii. Steve also had a good listening ear and words of advice for people. He liked his Diet Pepsi and had a sweet tooth for chocolate. Steve was known to be late for family gatherings and was always the last one there. He did, however, always bring a good dessert that he made though.

Steve is survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon Goetz, stepmother, Brenda Goetz, nephews, Jason Goetz and Jeffrey (Jen) Marshall, nieces, Jennifer (Tim) Polter and Staci Marshall, 6 great nephews, 5 great nieces, and 2 great great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick Goetz.

Funeral services for Steve will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH with visitation two hours prior from 9-11 a.m. Interment will follow the services in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown, OH.
