Shirley Ann Elizabeth (Sandlin) Gelacek, Age 84, from Rossford, Ohio, went to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Shirley was born, July 21, 1938 in Crystal City, Missouri to Sara Inez Elizabeth (Null) Sandlin & Ira Elvest Sandlin. She married her loving husband, John L. Gelacek in 1954 and celebrated 64 years of marriage, before his passing May 26, 2019. She is preceded in death by her brothers & sisters; William C. Null, Mary Ellen Roderique, Dixie Lee Schuessler and Elvest P. Sandlin and her nephew, Perry Sandlin. Shirley enjoyed many years of involvement with S.S. Cyril & Methodius Church, working in the cafeteria and volunteering for many church festivals. And, she really enjoyed playing Bunco with her Lady Friends for over 60 years! She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda & Gregg Snyder and Carol & Tom Tarpey. She was a loving grandma to Amanda Mitchell (David), Adam (Shannon) Snyder and Zachary Snyder and a loving great grandma to Madison. Today we celebrate the life of our mother, grandma, great grandma, aunt & friend to so many. There will be a private service by immediate family.
