Obituary For Ronald L Taylor
Ronald L. Taylor, 61, of Warsaw, OH and formerly Port Clinton, OH passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 on hospice care at the Truman House, New Philadelphia, OH. Ron was born on November 18, 1962 in Port Clinton, OH to Ernest and Hazel (Hatfield) Taylor. He graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1981. Ron worked for U.S. Gypsum for 34 years, retiring in 2019. On July 27, 2013 he married Laurie Cutcher, and she survives. Ron loved to hunt, especially whitetail deer. He enjoyed woodworking and built an addition on his home along with live edge furniture. Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors on his four-wheeler looking for arrowheads and artifacts. Most of his time was dedicated to his family, especially his grandkids, who were his pride and joy. He had a lot of close friends as well who loved him. Ron will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help a person in need and would give you the shirt off his back if necessary. He was a protector and provider for his wife and family, and they will greatly miss his presence with them.
In addition to his loving wife of 11 years, Laurie, he is survived by his children, Lindsay Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Frank Wheeler, Jr., and Cody Brengartner, grandchildren, Caleb, Bubba, Sadie, Denver, and Avery, siblings, Teresa Joseph, Ernest Taylor, Carol Franks, and Donald Taylor, and his beloved dogs, Rusty and Sabrina. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jason Wheeler, brother, Larry Eugene Taylor, and sister, Debbie Ellis.
Visitation for Ron will be Monday, September 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to encourage those attending to be comfortable to wear your favorite camouflage or casual clothes like Ron would of liked. Pastor Dave Dahlstein will be officiating the services. Internment will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given in care of the family.
