Obituaries

Rhonda J. Marx, 52, of Burgoon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rhonda was born February 14, 1972 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Kirby and Sandra (Schooner) White. She graduated from Rossford High School and went on to be a firefighter and EMT.

Rhonda served as an EMT for the Bradner Fire Department, Deshler Fire Department, and Medcorp, where she forged enduring friendships with her colleagues. Additionally, she held the position of assistant EMS chief for Henry County South Joint Ambulance District. Rhonda was a member of the American Legion in Bettsville, Ohio. She had a passion to love and serve not only her family but her community and friends and even strangers. As she was awarded the Black Swamp Award and saved many people’s lives. She was an Ohio State Buckeye fan, enjoyed traveling, playing games and spending time on the water but her greatest joy in life was being “Gigi” to her grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is survived by her children; Koby White, Kayla Balla, and Ashley (Nate) Leach; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Amira, Callie, Ava, Natalie and Jaxson; her mother, Sandy and brother, Robert (Margaret) White. She was preceded in death by her father and two daughters, Kimberly and Katherine.

Friends and family will be received Monday, December 30, 2024 from 3-7 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Following Tuesday Services, a luncheon will be held at the Lucas County 4-H Club Room located at 2901 Key Street, Maumee.
