Rebecca S. Lands, age 47, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at The Toledo Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Becca was born July 31, 1977, in Toledo and graduated from Woodward High School in 1996. She went on to a long career of more than 20 years with Walgreen’s Distribution Center. In her free time, Becca completed her bachelor’s degree with the University of Phoenix in business administration.

She loved curling up on the couch and watching a movie or her favorite TV show. This might include watching a soap opera or game show, particularly The Price is Right or Family Feud! Becca was also an avid sports fan and faithfully cheered on the New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, and Michigan Wolverines. She was over the moon excited about the Wolverines’ recent National Championship victory. Some of her other joys in life were found in collecting many, many purses and pairs of shoes. If you knew Becca, you also knew that she loved pink and of her passion for butterflies. Everything simply had to be decorated with a butterfly. Kind, thoughtful and fun-loving, she had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and her outgoing personality established Becca many lasting friendships. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son, Anthony Johnson; dad, Leon (Sherri) Lands; brother, Shane Eckhart; sisters, Virginia Morgan (Steven) and Leann Lands (Shaun Lepper); nieces and nephews, Calvin, Andrew, Samantha, Hope, Jonathan, Shauna, and Emily; and great niece, Serenity. Becca was also preceded in death by her mother, Virginia McLaughlin in 2018; uncles, Ed, George, and Benny; and aunt, Debra.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH 43537. Committal rites and burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg. In Becca’s honor, please adorn yourself in pink or in attire with butterflies on it!
