Obituary For Phillip Lee Adkins

Phillip “Phil” Lee Adkins, 48, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born on April 13, 1976 in Port Clinton, OH to Robert Lee and Laura (Steele) Adkins. Phil attended Port Clinton High School. He worked for the Crow’s Nest as a grounds keeper and at Crabby Joe’s as a server and bartender. These jobs complemented Phil’s love of the outdoors.

Phil was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavalier, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Phil was always ready to lend a hand, no matter how busy he was.

Phil was the star of the family’s annual horseshoe tournament. He had the trophies, eight of them, to prove it. Phil loved spending time with his family. They will miss his smiling face and loving heart.

Phil is survived by his mother, Laura (step-father, Matt) Valenti, his children, Alexia Eichelberger, Hailey Martinez, Jackson Adkins, Logan Floro, and Raylee Adkins, 4 grandchildren, brother, Joshua Large, sisters, Tiffany and Rochelle, brother, Nicholas Adkins, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Adkins and brother, Robby Lee Adkins.

Visitation for Phil will be 1-6 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton with funeral services conducted by his brother, Joshua Large beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
