Obituary For Patrick Martin Williams

Patrick Martin Williams, born January 3, 1969, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 1, 2024. Pat is survived by his Cedar Point crush and now wife, Rae Anne Williams, his daughters Hadley Reyes (Ani), Rylee Williams and his son, Brady Williams (Tori), his mom Mary Helen Williams, his siblings, Lisa DeClark (Peter), John (Colleen), Tom (Jennifer) and Laurie Hylant, and brother-in-law, Robbie Graham (Korie). He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Williams, mother-in-law, Frances Graham, and sister-in-law, Debbie Williams.

Pat was born in Toledo, Ohio to Mary Helen and Martin Williams. Pat was a fraternal twin; he was born first, followed by his brother, Tommy. Pat attended St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns for grade school and Central Catholic High School. Pat became an Eagle Scout during his high school years. Pat attended St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana and graduated with a Bachelors in Radio and TV Communications. Pat played soccer in both high school and college.

Pat worked at Cedar Point the summer of 1989 where he met his soulmate/loving wife Rae Anne. They married on July 10th, 1993, and went on to have three children. They raised their family in Monclova, Ohio.

Pat worked at American Cellular for several years, before moving over to Hylant in 2000 as a Client Executive. Pat took a brief break from 2007-2012 to go on to work for his Alma Mater, Central Catholic High School, where he was the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Pat returned to Hylant in 2012 as a Client Executive. In October of 2022, Pat became the Managing Director for Food & Agriculture at Hylant.

Pat was an avid Notre Dame fan and would watch every game from the “clubhouse” at his home. Pat enjoyed playing golf and cornhole, taking care of his lawn, and spending time with his family. Pat would attend Hadley’s plays and musicals, Rylee’s dance recitals, and Brady’s soccer games almost every weekend. Pat was the life of the party. He would serenade others with singing and dancing. Despite popular opinion, he felt he was quite good.

Pat’s favorite destination was their family cottage in Quincy, Michigan. Pat spent the last year working on renovations after a flood took place. He was able to turn a disaster into something everlasting. His family has been going to St. Augustine, Florida annually for the last 30+ years. One of his best friends, Dave Jackson, built a house in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee where Pat fell in love with the quiet beauty of the secluded hills. It was there, surrounded by the stunning landscape of mountains and forest, that he passed on.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 8, 2024, from 2-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo. The Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at The Historic Church of St. Patrick, 130 Avondale Avenue, Toledo. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society, in memory of those close to him.

Pat, we know you are having a Natty Light in heaven with Dad, making supper for Frances, and listening to “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers. “The Gambler he broke even, and in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.”

You were notorious for your “Irish Goodbye’s”, but this might be your most infamous one yet.
