Obituary For Patricia Mulholland Stichter
Patricia Mulholland Stichter, affectionately known as Pat or Patty, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on November 3, 1929, in Toledo, OH, to Clarence “Bud” and Esther (Fiss) Mulholland. Pat lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community.
Patricia earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Briarcliff Junior College in Briarcliff Manor, NY. She briefly worked as a preschool teacher at Gateway Preschool. In later years she transitioned to a role as a bookkeeper at Central Ave Animal Clinic, where she worked for her brother-in-law. Pat also dedicated her time as a volunteer at the Flower Hospital gift shop.
A vibrant member of the Red Hat Society, Christ Child Society, and Toledo Junior League, Pat enjoyed a variety of hobbies including bridge, knitting, crocheting, and playing games on her iPad. She had a particular fondness for playing slot machines at the casinos, always wearing white gloves to avoid touching the coins. Pat loved to entertain, and she cherished the moments spent with friends, often enjoying a glass of Moscato before dinner.
Known for her funny quips and her smile that would brighten any room, Pat’s joyful spirit was infectious. She had a kind, giving nature and a genuine interest in others. She will be remembered for her exclamation “Yeah Baby!”, especially after an OSU Buckeye win.
Pat along with her husband, Richard, were long time active members of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Above all, Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the most important part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
She is survived by her children, Kristen (Fred) Goodell, Frank (Christie) Stichter, and Tom Stichter; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Stichter; daughter, Martha DeCavitch; and sisters, Marcia Meader and Kathleen “Kay” Elrod.
Family and friends may visit Friday October 4, 2024 from 10-11:30 am at Epworth Church, 4855 W. Central Ave. The Memorial Service for Pat will follow at 11:30 am.
Memorial donation may be given to Epworth Church.
