Obituary For Norman Tucker

It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Tucker announces his passing. Norman, 93, was the son of Frances and Theodore B. Tucker. He graduated from Scott High School and was married to his high school sweetheart Darles for 66 years before her passing in 2018. Norman was one of 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen and Frances (Honey) and brother Theodore (Jimmy). Surviving is his brother Robert.

Norman’s adventures in life included summers working at Yellowstone Park, fishing trips to Canada, annual trips to the Upper Peninsula with his family, and trips to the Auburn, Indiana historic car show. Norman had many friends and family and enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and hosting his annual corn roast. He enjoyed working on antique cars and working on his house and property. One of his proudest accomplishments was a custom fieldstone fireplace he built with rocks gathered from the Upper Peninsula and the restoration of his prized 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz.

Norman will be missed by his 7 children; Michele (Mark), Forrest, Lori (Jeff), Jeff (Sue) Tracy (Ronald), Kristi (former spouse John), Jennifer (Aaron); 9 grandkids, and 7 great grandchildren; and Genesis Village friends and staff where he lived for the last year of his life.

Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH from 11am-1pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Services will be immediately after visitation at 1pm at Walker Funeral Home, followed by interment at Toledo Memorial Park.
