Obituaries

Michael Cunningham, age 78, of Toledo, OH, passed away November 8, 2023. He was born April 29, 1945, in Toledo, OH to Leroy and Myrtle (Hawkins) Cunningham. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked on the assembly line at the Jeep manufacturing plant. Michael was a skilled mechanic and was very handy with home repairs. He enjoyed camping, with his favorite parts being the opportunity for fishing and sitting around the campfire. Michael was an avid fan of the Raiders.

Michael was devout in his Christian faith. He was a dedicated family man, who loved his family. He was a kind and generous person who always rooted for the underdog. Michael spent his life caring for his daughter, Kimberly, until her passing earlier this year.

He is survived by his children; Michael Cunningham, Jeremy Cunningham, Christine Walton, Deborah Cunningham, Rebekah Cunningham, Rachel Dudley, and Roquel Bush; siblings, Frank Cunningham and Sharon Cunningham; fiancé, Susie Dasquez; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christine Cunningham; daughters, Carol Hottman and Kimberly Cunningham; and siblings, Bob, Richard, Carol, Howard, Phyllis, and Vicky.

Family and Friends may visit November 12, 2023 from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home- Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave. Sharing of Memories will take place at 4 pm.
