Obituary For Michael A. Zolciak
Michael A. Zolciak Sr., 74, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 7, 1950, the son of Leonard and Mae (Reimer) Zolciak and raised in the Toledo area. He met the love of his life, Christine M. (Peer) at junior achievement. They were married in Toledo on January 31, 1969. Mike and Chris celebrated 50 years together until her death in a tragic accident on June 15, 2019.
Mike retired from the ACE Hardware warehouse in Perrysburg, Ohio, after 30+ years of faithful service. He started his working career as a coffee roaster for the former A & P Company. Mike liked to be busy, so after retirement he enjoyed working as a handyman for those that needed help and fixing up old houses.
He and Chris liked to travel, go fishing and spend as much time as possible with their children and grandchildren. Mike was a golfer as well and he looked forward to golfing with his sons, every chance he could. For many years they treated themselves to an annual golf trip that included great card games. His family was truly everything to him.
His family includes, sons, Michael A. (Joyce) Zolciak, Jr., Eric S. Zolciak, James A. (Jaime) Zolciak, grandchildren, Michael A. (Olivia) Zolciak, III, Aubrey and Paige Zolciak, Karl Glashauser, Joseph and Peyton Heldmann, and brothers, Lenny (Leeann) and Timothy (Karen) Zolciak. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard & Mae, wife, Christine, granddaughter, Trinity Glashauser, sisters, Maryann Hatcher, Sue Hansen, Gloria Hansen, and brothers, George, Bobby and Dale Zolciak.
It was Mike’s wish that no services be held. Those wishing to remember him, are encouraged to contribute to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105.
