Linda Sue Marie Bancroft, age 64, of Toledo, OH, passed away September 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 28, 1958, in Toledo, OH to Harry and Viola (Washtak) Gillhouse. Linda worked as a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army for many years. She loved embarking on adventures with her family. As a Disney enthusiast, Linda’s favorite trips were Caribbean cruises aboard the Disney Wish and to Walt Disney World, especially Animal Kingdom. She also enjoyed visiting various zoos and aquariums. Her favorite animal to watch was the orangutan.

Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a good, virtuous woman with a strong Christian faith. Linda had a great sense of humor. She touched many lives with her expressions of kindness. Her memory will live on in the people’s hearts that she touched over the years.

She is survived by her husband, William; son, BJ; stepdaughters, Geri and Lori; brothers, Larry (Gloria) and Rick; sister, Barb; brother-in-law, Tom; sister-in-law, Marcia; and nephew, Mark. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may visit Monday, October 2, from 5-8 pm at Walker Funeral Home- Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave. The Funeral Service for Linda will be Tuesday, October 3 at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by Linda’s family.
