Obituary For Linda Mae Woda

Linda M. Woda, age 85, of Perrysburg, died peacefully on October 5, 2024, in the loving arms of her daughter Robin at Woodhaven Skilled Nursing in Bowling Green. She was born May 10, 1939, in Fallsburg, Ohio to the late Albert and Myrtle (Weekly) Hauman.

Creative and always looking to find a good value, Linda enjoyed thrifting and going to garage sales. She was always proud of the unique items she would find. For many years, Linda and her husband Joe operated an antique store in downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio called “Country Barn Antiques”. She made many great memories and lasting friendships with her customers. Linda had unique skills in home décor and could decorate a home that looked like something out of a magazine. She also had a green thumb and loved planting flowers for all to enjoy.

Her husband Joseph Woda preceded her in death, along with brothers, Richard and John Hauman. Linda is survived by her children, Mark (Kim), Tammi (Robert) Haigh, Todd (Kim), Robin (Eric) Hartzell, and Kelly Woda Artrip; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; dear friend, Joan Caswell; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda will be privately laid to rest at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg with her beloved husband.

The family would like to thank Woodhaven of Bowling Green for their unwavering care and love of Linda while she was in their care.

“When I'm Gone"

When I come to the end of my journey;

And I travel my last weary mile;

Just forget, if you can, that I ever frowned;

And remember only the Smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;

Remember some good I have done.

Forget that I ever had heartache;

And remember I've had loads of fun.

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered;

And sometimes fell by the way.

Remember I have fought some hard battles;

And won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to grieve for my going.

I would not have you sad for a day.

But in summer just gather some flowers;

And remember the place where I lay;

And come in the shade of evening when the sun paints the sky in the west.

Stand for a few moments beside me, and remember, only my best.
