Obituary For Lazaro Antonio Loredo
Lazaro Antonio Loredo Sr., fondly known to all as Tony, passed away on August 13, 2024, with his family by his side. Tony was a beloved figure in his community, known for his warm spirit and boundless energy. He was born December 17, 1950, in San Antonio, TX to Anastacio and Maria Carmen (Vasquez) Loredo.
Tony was legendary for his collection of CDs, which he proudly sourced from Texas, sharing his love for Tejano music with everyone. A passionate sports enthusiast, Tony was a devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs and all Texas sports teams. His love for boxing was well-known, and he never missed a match.
Tony had a deep appreciation for Westerns, often spending his evenings immersed in the tales of the Old West. His outgoing and congenial nature made him a friend to all. Tony had a unique habit of calling everyone every day, ensuring that his loved ones always felt connected and cared for. Remarkably, he never said goodbye, a testament to his belief in the enduring nature of relationships.
Tony’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He leaves behind a family and community who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Serafina Loredo; children, Krystina Loredo-Lopez (Michael Lopez), Lazaro Loredo Jr., Priscilla Loredo-Campos (Pedro Campos Jr.), and Anastacio Loredo (Renata Campos- Loredo); 22 grandchildren; numerous bonus grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mamie Dudley (Rick), Marylou Sosa, Diana Salinas (Manuel), Delia Villalobos (Guadalupe), Anthony Dawson, Earnesto, Roberto, and Pablo. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florencia; brothers-in-law, Alfredo and James; and great-granddaughter Alena.
Family and friends may visit Monday, August 19, 2024, from 3-8 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Services for Tony will begin Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 9 am at Walker Funeral Home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania, at 10 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Tony’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
