Obituary For Juanita L. Payne
On November 18, 2023, Juanita Payne succumbed to a long, hard-fought battle with Systemic Scleroderma. We rejoice that she is no longer suffering or in pain. At the same time our family begins our own struggle to fill the emptiness we feel without her.
Juanita was born on June 2, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Mary Lou (Adkinson) Hohenberger. She attended St. Hedwig grade school and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1984. After graduation she joined the United States Army and proudly served our country for 8 years.
She will be greatly missed by her sisters; Kathy Hohenberger, Michele (Shaun) Coughlan, Pam Shoup, Trish (Mark) Meyer and brothers, Martin (Joan) Hohenberger, Christopher (Judy) Hohenberger and Steve (Elpida) Hohenberger. The light of her life were her nieces and nephews, Jordan (Kristine) Coughlan, Chelsea Coughlan, Mackenzie (Jeremy) Bigelow, Katie (Brian) Rule, Brad (Janet) Hohenberger, Patrick (Breanna) Hohenberger, Kevin Hohenberger, Nick (Meagan) Hohenberger, Danielle Meyer, Aubrey Shoup and Tyler Shoup. Along with her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Hohenberger and her brother-in-law, Warren Shoup.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 12-3 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
