Janet A. Monto, 66, of Walbridge, Ohio died Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Bay Park Hospital. She was born on June 25, 1957, in Oregon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marvin and Alverda Brewer. She married Keith Monto on April 28, 1984, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Township, Ohio. Together, Janet and Keith raised their family.

Janet was employed at workers’ compensation. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Township, Ohio. Janet enjoyed watching shows about the supernatural, and she loved to hear ghost stories. Her two dogs, Bo and Thunder, were always there to put a smile on her face. Janet loved animals, especially alligators. She was also an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

Janet is survived by her son, Jacob Monto, daughter, Nicole Monto, granddaughter, Stella Monto, and her dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Barb Ryan.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 4-8pm in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio. A service is to be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11am at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following services.
