Obituary For Jaden Vaughn Brian Salzwedel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaden Vaughn Brian Salzwedel, affectionately known as "J-Dizzle," who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 20. Jaden was born on April 30, 2004, in Sylvania, Ohio, to Alexandra (Pleiss) Ingram and Vaughn Salzwedel.

Jaden had a magnetic presence and was known for his big smile that could light up any room. His warm, generous nature was always evident through his countless hugs and his loving spirit. He had a way of making everyone feel like family, and he was beloved by all who knew him. Jaden had an affectionate nickname for everyone, calling them his “goon”.

Above all else, Jaden’s greatest love was his son, Grayson. Tragically, Grayson passed away in 2022 shortly after birth, a loss that left a deep void in Jaden’s heart.

Jaden was also his mom's best friend. He was a constant source of support to Alexandra, always there to help with whatever was needed. His bond with his mother was unbreakable, and he was an integral part of her life. In addition to his mom, Jaden was loved by his family—his father, Vaughn Salzwedel; his stepdad, Jeff Ingram; and his siblings, Elijah, Christian, Zachary, Michael (Krystal), Bre, Payton, and Jasmine. Jaden will be deeply missed by his niece, Alana, and his extended family, including his grandparents, Cindy and Bill Willis, Lora Salzwedel, and Tina Wold. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved cat, Moo-Moo.

Jaden had a unique style, making sure his outfits were on point, always matching his shoes to his clothes. He enjoyed listening to rap music and found solace in driving around in his car, which became a way for him to unwind. Jaden was known for his love of food, especially his mom's cooking, chicken wings on Christmas, and seafood. Holidays were always a time for celebration in Jaden’s life, a chance for him to spend time with his family and show his love for the people closest to him.

Jaden’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his son, Grayson Salzwedel; stepbrother, Josh Ingram; grandfather, Dennis Salzwedel; and uncles, Brad Smale and Jerry Hicks. Though he is no longer with us, his infectious smile, his loving nature, and his joyful spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jaden's life during visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio 43460. A funeral ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm in the funeral chapel. Immediately following the services, the family invites everyone to join them for a wake at Hanger's East Side Saloon, 531 Oak Street, Toledo, Ohio 43605.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jaden's honor can be made to the care of the family. A memorial fund is available on the funeral home website.

Jaden will forever be remembered for his infectious energy, his love for his family, and his ability to brighten even the darkest days. May he rest in peace.
