Obituary For Dolores Jean Soviar

Dolores Jean Soviar, lovingly known as "Dee," passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio at Kingston Residence - Perrysburg. Born on February 4, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ernest and Bernadine (Sader) Leu, Dolores dedicated her life to her family and community.

Dolores graduated from Waite High School. She married Edward Soviar on April 19, 1952, at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church. Together, they built a nurturing home where she was the heart and soul, known for her incredible cooking, particularly her famous pierogies and kolaczkis. Dolores was known for her cleanliness and keeping things tidy.

Dolores was a gifted seamstress, often crafting beautiful outfits for her daughter from scratch when she was younger. Her love for reading was equally profound, and she cherished every book her granddaughter sent her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen (Winnifred) Soviar, Daniel (Christine) Soviar, Kim (Richard) Woodruff, and Todd (Molly) Soviar; her grandchildren, Mindi (Joe) Eberhart, Mark (Jana) Soviar, Jason (Heather) Soviar, Heidi (John) Wendling, Stephanie Seiffert, Dakota Soviar, and Wyatt Soviar; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents, and her brothers, Dick and Jim Leu.

In accordance with her wishes, services and burial will be private. Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home in Rossford assisted with arrangements. In honor of Dolores, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
