It was with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father Dewey Leon Jackson preceded in death by his loving dedicated wife Beverly on November 23, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born November 22, 1940 in the hills of Lake City, TN and would tell many stories of growing up and working on the tobacco fields.

Dewey founded Jackson Landscape in the 60’s as a lawn service company. He serviced the Toledo area for six decades; his excellence and attention to detail were evident in every design and project he worked on. He built a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy and earned the respect and loyalty of countless customers and served many families for generations. He was a business owner, employer, and friend. He was a mentor to his son, Daniel Jackson and later in life his daughter, Pamela Shiffert and grandson, Devyn Shiffert; who joined the family company, which made him extremely proud, generously sharing his knowledge and expertise, empowering them to succeed. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dewey is survived by his children, Sherry (Ken) Lawfield, Pamela (Roger) Shiffert, Danny Jackson, with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-670-7199). Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the funeral home with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
