Obituaries

Dan D. Robinson, 62, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, with his family at his side. The son of Rodney and Mary-Etta (Sodd) Robinson, he was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 31, 1961. He was raised in Toledo and graduated from Waite High School in 1979. Dan married the love of his life, Denise K. (Larges), in Oregon, on June 22, 1996, and have shared many wonderful years together.

Dan started his working career at the scrapyard, working on lake freighters, later working for the CSX Railroad as a Car-man in the Walbridge Yard, for the next 10 years. Dan, in 2002, was diagnosed with a form of ALS which forced him to retire. He was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017. He continued enjoying all that life had to offer, spending time with his family tubing and camping at Riverview Campground in Sterling, Mi. He also enjoyed fishing and was very mechanically inclined, his friends and family knew he could fix anything!

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Dan Robinson II, Tiffany Robinson, Krystal (Ben) Smith, and Austin (Karla) Robinson; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Mary (John) Tansey, Larry Kwapich, Janet (Sean) Hardy, Tim Robinson and Joe (Deb) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney & Mary-Etta Robinson.

A graveside service will be conducted for Dan, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in the Willow Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
