Obituaries

Craig Peterson passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 77, in Sylvania, Ohio. He is survived by his loving spouse, Lenore; sons, Jesse (Cari), Ken, Phillip, and Gordon (Nicole); grandchildren, Jon, Jesse Jr., Stephanie, Wyatt, Nolan, Maddie, David, Bennett, Isla, and Parker; and 2 great- grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Myra Peterson and Julie Christensen.

Professionally, Craig spent many years in the iron and steel industry, working in various management capacities. He concluded his career as the general manager of Ohio Air Filter, where his leadership and expertise were highly valued.

An avid woodworker, Craig built many pieces of furniture throughout his lifetime. Known as an all-around handyman, he had the ability to build and fix nearly everything. He passed on his knowledge and abilities to all of his sons. His leisure time was often spent traveling to sunny Caribbean beaches, enjoying the summer on his patio, and spending winter months in his workshop.

He was an active member of the local AA community; he was thankful for the support he received and generously gave back to others in need.

A visitation will be held on September 8, 2024, starting at 1:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM. Both services will take place at Walker Funeral Home, located at 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. Toledo, OH.
